Paris on Screen

Paris. Countless movies, commercials and music videos have been filmed in what can be called the most photogenic city in the world. Regardless of the quality of a film, Paris always adds a distinctive charm to it (there may be some exceptions ex. Taken). Sometimes movies are the only available way to travel to certain locations...and let me just say, for the longest time I visited and kept going back to Paris through this exact medium. Now that I'm only 10 days away from calling la ville lumière my temporary home, I've decided to share some clips that have taken me there.

Memories from Central Park

As I was preparing this post, I started thinking that blogging may not be my thing after all. I mean, it took me nearly 2 months to attempt writing a paragraph about this trip. But then I remembered how I talked about "motivating myself to write about my experiences" in my first post and realized I would never blog abroad if I didn't keep myself disciplined. So here it goes...After an extremely stressful semester, I was lucky enough to spend a week in New York City with a friend. The hotel we stayed at was a two minute walk from the Columbus Circle so I got to spend a good chunk of my time in Central Park.

The Adventure Begins

Winter 2015. I've been impatiently counting down the days for years! Now that it's been somwhat decided that next year I'll have the opportunity to spend a semester in Paris, it seems more unrealistic than ever...even though I had already decided that I'd be going on an exchange as soon as I was accepted to University. I had totally disregarded the possibility of not getting selected to go abroad, not having the financial means to live in a foreign country, and the "worst" case scenario - not getting selected to go to Paris. Everything I've done throughout the past three years feels like it has been leading up to this moment: from carefully selecting co-op jobs to trying to maintain a certain GPA to keep scholarships.
